ACCESS EU 2024 Barcelona: Opening the Pandora’s Box of Innovative Contracting and Value Based Agreements

ACCESS Forum, the international community of market and patient access experts and leaders, and ISPOR—The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), bring together Access and HEOR thought leaders and professionals this November in Barcelona, Spain.

Themed “Addressing Challenges Impacting Patient Access”, ACCESS 24 will be focused on addressing and solving the challenges facing Market and Patient Access globally—including addressing the new Regulation of Health Technology Assessment in Europe, and the Inflation Reduction Act in the United States.

Workshop: Opening the Pandora’s Box of Innovative Contracting and Value Based Agreements with Pharma and Med. Tech.

Presented by Verpora’s Omar Ali, alongside Jamie Foley, Global Director, Value-based Contracting & Innovation, MSD, this workshop opens the Pandora’s Box into a phenomenal repository of US & Global innovative contracts between payers, governments & pharmaceutical companies and medtech.

The workshop will:

  • explore different types of agreements with various archetypes of payers and will involve “reverse engineering” the architecture behind how these agreements come into existence

  • share concept development through to operationalisation and deployment within the context of regulatory and legal barriers alongside the commercial imperatives that have led to the existence of such agreements, across small molecules, biologics, oncology and CAGT

  • have a dedicated section where a former government PAYER and a current PHARMACEUTICAL Global Director compare and contrast each perspective on how to overcome challenges and hurdles, how to successfully deploy and operationalise these contracts and key elements of how each side negotiated these value based agreements in what promises to be a unique dual perspective style of delivery

  • explore key elements of capability and development of cross-functional teams, the balance of local versus global for deployment frameworks and how best to ensure organisational success in VBA/IC space

Don’t miss this opportunity to unveil what lies behind these contracts and trends for the future
